AMI 0-3 – Art and Music 

This event has now closed. However, it is still possible to register for the  Inspiration Weekend with the same theme: Art and Music

In the weekend of Saturday the 5th of April and Sunday the 6th of April 2025 we organise a special Art and Music weekend for teachers and assistants that work with children in the age 0-3. During this weekend we offer theory lectures, material presentations, practical sessions, material making sessions and supervised practice with the materials for children from 0 to 3 years old. You will have the opportunity to gain the practical knowledge and experience you need to work in a Montessori environment with young children in the Art and Music area.

You will also learn how to set up Art and Music material yourself and learn what activities you can offer to young children.

9:00: Workshop orientation and personal introductions

9:15: Music – General Introduction.  (Theory Lecture)

10:30: Break

10:45: Music in Nido and IC – structure and planning. (Theory Lecture)

12:00: Lunch

13:00: Music in Nido and IC – presentations. (Practicum)

14:15: Break

14:30: Music in Nido and IC – supervised practice. (Practicum)

16:00: Closing thoughts

Saturday the 6th of April 9:00-16:00

9:00: Art in the Infant Community. (Theory Lecture) 

10:30: Break

10:45: Art in Infant Community –  structure and presentations. (Practicum)

12:00: Lunch

13:00: Art in Infant Community – supervised practice (Practicum)

14:15: Break

14:30: More Art activities in Infant Community (not in the 0-3 AMI syllabus). (Practicum)

Lubov Lepkina

Lubov Lepkina came to Montessori education in 2012 as a student of Patricia Wallner’s Diploma course in Russia. She has worked in 0-3 level classes from 2012.

In 2017 Lubov graduated from AMI 3-6 diploma course by Madlena Ulrich in Moscow. She has experience of lead-teaching of both 0-3 and 3-6 levels.

Over the years Lubov serves as an 0-6 Montessori expert on behalf of AMI Montessori Fund of Russia, provides work-shops, seminars, professional programs, and consults parents. In 2020 she became a national AMI 0-3 examiner.

From 2019 she has been assisting Patricia Wallner in Diploma Courses in IMI (International Montessori Institute of the Netherlands, Delft).

Lubov’s family is Russian-Ukrainian, she has 2 children. Her son is 3-6 Montessori teacher working in Europe; her daughter has been educated in Montessori school of Saint Petersburg.

 

Patricia Wallner

Our AMI Training for the 0-3 course is Patricia Wallner, MA, from Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Patricia studied history, anthropology and sociology at the San Diego State University and gained a Master’s Degree at the Loyola University in Baltimore. She is an AMI 0-3 and 3-6 diploma holder…
